Generator Services

During the visit, our Salesperson will explain the operation of the generator and the choices available that will suit your particular needs. He will examine your Circuit Breaker Panel (Usually in the basement) to determine your load requirements. Measurements and photographs will be taken, then he will walk around the outside of the house with you to view the Electric Meter location and observe location of windows, doors, dryer and power vents and any AC compressors to position the generator in the most desirable and Code Compliant spot for the generator and Propane Tank/s if needed.

The consultation takes approximately 30 minutes.

Once you place the order a delivery and installation date will be selected. We will secure Town or City permits, Our Natural Gas installer will be notified for scheduling, Natural Gas provider will be notified for Gas Meter Upgrade. In the case of Propane Gas, we will notify your Propane Gas Contractor of our delivery and installation schedule. On day of delivery the base and generator will be set. The Transfer Switch will be installed, and wiring will be run from the Transfer Switch to the Generator. All work is done in a neat, code-compliant manner. Once the Gas is run to the generator and inspections are complete, we will return to start and test the generator and instruct you on the Generator operation.

We will answer at all hours of the day or night and provide emergency response by an experienced  Manufacturer trained and certified Technician. Affordable, Annual  and Biannual maintenance programs are offered. During the maintenance, the generator is thoroughly cleaned. Parts such as Spark plugs, oil filters, air filters, oil are changed. The battery is removed, cleaned and tested, and diagnostics performed. Should a problem with the generator arise, Riley Electrical is certified to perform Warranty work on Both Generac and Kohler Generators.
